Before Supergoop! was ever found on a store shelf, our founder, Holly Thaggard, started the company to get SPF pumps into schools. Her mission was to change the way the world thinks about sunscreen, starting with our youth.

For the past 20 years, we’ve continued Holly’s work by donating SPF to schools across America. Now, our work continues with even more passion and purpose than ever...

Sunscreen for

Schools

Public and private schools, as well as eligible afterschool programs and non-profit youth organizations, can email ouncebyounce@supergoop.com to request sunscreen donations through our Ounce By Ounce® program. To be eligible, you must be located in one of the following states:

AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, IN, IL, LA, MD, ME, MI, MN, NE, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TX, UT, VA, WA and Washington, D.C.

Meet the Ounce By Ounce® Advisory Board
This panel of community leaders is elected to advocate on behalf of their communities, identify opportunities for meaningful positive impact and lead education efforts to drive adoption of healthy sun care habits.
Alexis is a philanthropist, founder, mentor, public speaker, podcaster and more. She has four vibrant children, enjoys preparing healthy dishes and consistently encourages women to travel and broaden their palates of community and taste.
Arielle is the Chief Communications Officer of Ariel Investments, a global diversified investment firm and the first Black-owned mutual fund company in the U.S. She received PRWeek magazine’s 2023 "Women of Distinction" award and sits on the board of American Ballet Theatre, Yellowstone National Park's foundation, and more.
Courtney became the youngest person to hold city-wide office in Atlanta's history when he was elected to the Board of Education at age 24. He has also taught in classrooms, been involved in affordable housing non-profits and is currently the Chief Policy Officer and Senior Advisor to Atlanta’s mayor.
Danielle is an award-winning editor, media executive, host and producer. For more than a decade, she has served multicultural audiences at outlets like ESPN, Refinery29, ESSENCE, and Netflix, and has been included on lists such as Ebony's "8 Dynamic Black Women Editors in New Media”.
Deirdre Hooper, MD is a board-certified dermatologist and co-founder of Audubon Dermatology. She serves as volunteer faculty for the Departments of Dermatology at Tulane and Louisiana State University, the Vice President of the ASDS / ASDSA and has authored many scientific papers and book chapters.
Lauren is a thought leader and philanthropist with two decades of experience connecting brands with culture. Presently, she focuses on championing for stronger integration of physician wellness and family-centered care, as well as equitable maternal healthcare access.
